I originally hale from a small town in Tennessee, but for the last few years I have been traveling and loving every minute of it!
I have a passion for the ocean and travel! I believe any day spent on a boat or at the beach is a good day.
For the past fourteen years I have been in the restaurant / hospitality industry. I started out as a line cook at a small family Italian pizzeria and kept working my way up to nicer restaurants. I have worked in multiple three and four star fine dining restaurants. One of my last positions I held was the Assistant General Manager & Beverage Director at a four star restaurant housed in a 200 year old mansion.
In the last few years I have done some extensive travel though Hawaii, The Bahamas, Caribbean, British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Saba, St. Martin/Maarten, St. Bart's, Florida, North Carolina and I am currently in Charleston, SC.
What I am Looking For
I would like to join a private or charter yacht as a Deckhand, Steward or Chef / Cook.
It is my desire to make a career in the yachting industry and keep climbing the ranks. I would eventually like to work up to Captain. So it is my desire to learn everything I can in all departments of the industry.
I am looking for a Captain and crew who I can continue to learn from and who is willing to show me the ropes and teach me what they know.
I will continue to get certified in as many areas as I can as I have time and resources to do so.
What You Can Expect From Me
I will always give my Captain, fellow crew, owners and guests 110%. I will always strive to go above and beyond expectations and give a little more than you think I will give.
I will always strive to learn more about the vessel and the yachting industry. I will always strive to better myself through ongoing education and training.
As I stated before, I am seeking a career not just a job. I intend to spend the rest of my career in this industry so I will continue take advantage of receiving as much proper training as I can. I will eventually work my way up to Captain and it is my hope to Skipper a luxury yacht one day.

My Experience
I have fourteen years in the hospitality industry. It has been my pleasure to serve the very wealthy, celebrities and the everyday person. I have become very good at anticipating one's needs before having to be asked.
I have held nearly every job in the restaurant business. My experience includes but is not limited to catering, cooking, serving, bartending, silver service, party planning / event planning, menu / wine list planning, public relations, sales and management.
I started my maritime career on cruise ships in Hawaii. I have served aboard the M/S Pride of Aloha and the M/S Pride of America.
Most recently I have launched my career in the yachting industry while serving as Chef / Steward aboard the M/Y Troutopia for the owner's summer cruise down to the Caribbean, Bahamas, U.S.V.I, and B.V.I. Since then I have freelanced aboard three classic Trumpy yachts in Charleston, SC - M/Y Freedom, M/Y Wishing Star and the M/Y Innisfail (the former U.S. Presidential Yacht).
I am STCW certified by the Harry Lundberg Seafarers School of Seamanship in Piney Point, MD.
I hold a valid U.S. Merchant Mariner's Document (MMD) issued by the U.S. Coast Guard - Charleston, SC
I just took an OUPV (6-Pack) Captain's Course from Sea School - Charleston, SC and currently trying to get more sea time so I can take the Captain's exam.
I am a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary - Charleston, SC Flotilla 12-8
I also hold a valid U.S. Passport.
